White TV Stand
65I wanted to help you out when it comes to getting the best possible experience out of your television. Obviously picking the best possible TV is going to do most of the entertaining, so that is where your attention should be focused, but you have to take into consideration the stand that you'll be putting the television on. Without the right stand you won't be able to angle the television properly. Sometimes a stand can be distracting and naturally draws your eye away from the TV. I thought I'd show you why a simple white TV stand might be a better approach for you because white is really the color everyone is missing out on.
It can be a little challenging when it comes to buying any piece of white furniture, especially something that you would normally see in wood or dark colors. The thing about a white stand is that it is a bold move to make and not everyone is up to the challenge of making it. But the color white offers some great advantages that you won't get with other stands. First, the white is going to match whatever room you put it in, so you don't have to worry about the carpet color, wall color or the color of your other furniture. Secondly, it also brightens up a room and gives it a little life, instead of the traditional dark and dreary colors.
Small White TV Stand
Most people that end up going with a white TV stand will go with something small. This is something that I happen to follow too. White is bold, but I find that if you have a piece of furniture that is rather large, it is just way too much when the color is white. When you're working with a smaller stand it seems to work much better and fit into the designs of rooms in a much easier way. It still leaves you with a bold piece of furniture, but it doesn't quite have the punch that a big piece would inevitably create.
I placed a picture to the right of a small TV stand to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. This is something that is small and simple. You put the television on top, your DVD player or digital cable box on the shelf and you have storage drawers on the bottom. You get everything you need in a nice small package. If I was going with white then this would probably be the choice that I would make.
Distressed White TV Stand/White Washed TV Stand
This is something that I'm not really a fan of, but many people are. The idea behind this kind of stand is to have an imperfect finish on it. Distressed white and white washed are completely different looks, but they create both a rustic and older look for the stand itself. Distressed is when the actual wood is painted white but then is scraped down with an SOS pad or something like that. It creates imperfections with the paint on it and there are many people that prefer this type of style. White washed literally looks like the finish was painted with diluted paint. The finish is white, but you can still see the wood under it. Diluted white paint is really the only way to describe that type of stand.
This is a popular way to go if you have a cottage or something like that. It gives a look that is older and many view it as something that adds character.

Personally I like white tv stands. Partly because it is by far the most eye catching one as compared to other colors such as black or brown.
